The Shibunkaku Group, established in Kyoto in 1937, is an art and culture corporation dedicated to the promotion of high-quality Japanese art and culture both in Japan and overseas. Through art and antiquarian book dealing, as well as a publishing business, it is committed to introducing Japanese aesthetics and philosophy to a wider audience. It promotes emerging artists, as well as established ones. Its publishing division aims to generate further and deeper academic communication, introducing established and young scholars¡¦ written works to the public. The Shibunkaku Group aims to encourage an appreciation and deep understanding of Japanese culture among a wider audience through art and culture cultivation, education and promotion.
